Reporter Clay Douglas is furtively searching for clues to identify the killer responsible for the deaths of two girls in a small Georgia town. The case heats up as he delves into resources that he built during his criminal years, bringing a hidden side of the community into the light. Clay already has a very personal interest in the case so he has first hand knowledge of the horrific acts a serial killer is capable of. When nine-year-old Lanier Morris is abducted he fears that she may never be seen again. Will Fate intervene before this young girl slips into darkness?

Frances Edge is an author living in Newnan, Georgia with her family. She has carried on a love affair with books since she read her first novel in the second grade. Frances enjoys reading and hiking with her family during the cooler weather and  slumming it on the weekends in pajamas, even in public. During the summer you will find her doing the appropriate Southern Belle thing and spending the time barbecuing, enjoying an alcoholic beverage and playing yard games with her kids. Her heroes include her parents, all three of them, and a few literary giants that she refuses to name on the grounds that she can't choose one over the others. Frances loves cheering on the Atlanta Falcons and would probably resort to violence if you ever dared to question her integrity. She loves life and is a true believer in each persons ability to shape the path their future lies upon.
